Maple, purpleheart and yew with toughened glass and mirror glass.

This set of furniture represents two people with different views, looking very similar but definitely not the same. Whilst a human being is a human being each of us is unique, as are these chairs that both perform the same function but differ slightly in their appearance. Starting at the top of each display chair the design reflects the beginning of a conversation between two people with quite opposite opinions, as shown in the tops of the back splats. As they discuss their views over the table they ‘iron out’ their differences, realising that they don’t need to be in conflict. Differences can be accepted and the conversation becomes calmer, providing a wider base for both to stand in the world and at the conversation’s end a deeper understanding of themselves and others is reached, represented by the sunken mirror in the table top.

Each chair is 139cm high (measured to the centre of the top rail).

Dimensions of table: Width 58.5cm x Depth 58.5cm x Height 46.5cm.
