Farah Quresh has been designing and making jewellery since she attended a one week jewellery making course in her teens. From that time on, she has been making jewellery.
The jewellery that Farah designs and makes is made in silver and eighteen carat gold. The materials are generally recycled and Farah aim's to work in an environmentally and eco friendly way. The inspiration behind the jewellery designs comes from a variety of different sources. Visits to botanical gardens has provided many pieces of jewellery, considering the shapes, forms and structures in the plant life there. Farah Qureshi is also inspired by travelling abroad, fine art and sculpture.
Recently Farah had the opportunity to design a range of jewellery for an exhibition called the Age Of Elegance which was held at the Guildhall Art Gallery.
Farah currently work's from a studio in Clerkenwell called Craft Central and produces new collections each year. Farah also attends events in London: Exhibiting work at London jewellery week for five years and has also attended International Jewellery London for several years. As well as showcasing work at national events Farah also attends the open studio events at Craft Central, taking part in group shows and pop up events. Most recently Farah Qureshi has started exhibiting at International shows in both Holland and Germany.
