A playful, unique piece, designed to leave the onlooker with a nostalgic joy. The artist’s clever use of mixed media creates an unusual example of functional art. The piece brings together a silver mouse with gold embellishment, two silver cheese flags, one inscribed with ‘Stilton’ and the other left blank to be engraved or written on in marker pen, and a rose wood board. The silver pieces can be removed in order to clean the board.

Taken from Bryony Knox, the artist’s, Nursery Rhyme collection, this piece was inspired by a love for storytelling. Bryony uses a combination of techniques, such as repousse and chasing, throughout her metal work to bring her artwork to life. This is a beautiful piece which can be used ornamentally or to truly enjoy it, used a centre piece cheese board, sure to be the talking point of any dinner party.
