Medium: acrylic & ink on canvas.

Size: 130cm x 100cm

This piece is one in a series of paintings by David that examines the innate drama of the Welsh landscape. Anyone who has been to North Wales will know the range of feelings that can emerge there, whether stimulated by atmosphere, weather or just a sense of 'presence’. If all art is some form of ‘abstract expression’, then maybe David's is a search for the gestures of painting and drawing that relate to the experience of actually ‘being there’; to say the least David's work is vigorous and deeply energetic and certainly his response to the environment has been physical as well as emotional, reactions he palpably conveys to the viewer.

This is an original artwork and will be supplied with a certificate of authenticity signed by David Brightmore.
