This painting was inspired by a visit to Monserrat, Catalunya, Spain, which is a sacred site with a monastery on a saw tooth, rocky mountain overlooking miles of Spanish countryside. There is an icon there of the Black Madonna and visions of her have been seen on the mountain. Additionally there is a sacred spring there next to the monastery, and Lisa has used some of the water from it in this painting.

Supplied signed and professionally framed.
