An original oil painting on panel depicting Lt Col Stirling and Lt MacDonald’s SAS patrol; adapted from an original B&M photograph, copyright courtesy of the Imperial War Museum E021338. The challenge with this artwork was to transform a black and white photograph into a colour painting, something which required a lot of research in terms of accurately portraying the finer details within the piece, such as in the case of the medal ribbons on the chest of Lt MacDonald for example.

Size (framed): 75cm x 90cm

Supplied complete with a brushed gold-effect wooden frame.

This is an original artwork and will be supplied with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist Karl Hamilton-Cox.
